Modern Day Colosseum (Revised)

They invent the games and call it entertainment.

If we are entertained, why do we suffer?

The Men, Women and Children, they wept.

A call amongst an echo “we are not mad enough”

Oh but we are mad, but it falls on deaf ears.

A peoples’ republic becomes a senator’s problem.

A reflection of their failure to govern.

We are puppets.

Strung along to the slaughter.

It is time for a call to the heavens, a prayer of salvation.

Alas, the prayer has been heard

And mankind will rejoice

Until the wind is as loud as the storm that once came.
